poplars-house

Charles and Gladys Hamilton are the owners of "The Poplars" which is located at 278 Bridgewater Road. The house is of Italianate design built in the 18th century with a 19th century addition. Built of fieldstone on Trimble land, the oldest part may have been a residence for that family. In the 19th century, it was part of 35 acres owned by Elias West and his descendants and named "The Poplars". In 1914, it became part of John P. Crozer's estate.
